Obituary of Tom Hill
Tom Clay Hill, 69, of Olathe, Colorado, passed away July 2, 2013, at his residence in Olathe, Colorado.
Tommy was born on July 25, 1943, to Clayton and Olga Hill in Denver, Colorado. He grew up on the Blue River, and attended school in Summit County, Colorado. He raised cattle on various ranches in Park County and Summit County, and eventually settled on the Gore Pass Ranch in Kremmling, Colorado, for 40 years. He moved to Olathe, Colorado, where he resided for the past 7 years.
Tommy enjoyed ranching, roping, team penning, and playing poker with his friends. He never knew a stranger and everyone that met him loved him. Tommy was a true supporter of 4-H, FFA, and various youth programs. The 2000 Middle Park Fair & Rodeo was dedicated in his honor. He was a generous, soft hearted, loving husband, dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda, her sons Stetson and Cody (Alisha) Mumma, Tommy's five children, Jodi (Sandy) Hill, Shawn (Kelly) Farrell, Matt (Heidi) Hill, Mark ((Polly) Hill, and Samijean (Shawn) Lechman, brother Gary (Alice) Hill, sister, Evelyn Avery, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Olga Hill, his brother George Hill, and his sister, Lucille Wall.
In addition of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Kremmling Memorial Hospital, in his honor, 214 4th street, Kremmling Colorado 80459. A Funeral Service in celebration of Tom's life
will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Grand County Fairgrounds, in the Extension Hall, in Kremmling, Colorado. Interment will follow the service at Kremmling Cemetery in Kremmling, Colorado. A reception will follow the graveside service.
