On July 9th, 2023 in a tragic heart-breaking situation Theresa gained her wings and she has gone to mend a thousand angels.
Theresa Louise O’Neill, born March 21st, 1995, was delivered at home by her father(Matt). She came into this world to the sound of her mothers laughter when Matt slammed the door in the neighbor boy's face after ‘informing’ him that they were busy. She joined her 9 boisterous siblings, Paul, Katie, Rachel, Keith, Amy, Anita, Angie, Zachary, and Megan with Thomas to follow 2 years later.
She started school in White Sulphur Springs, where she left a lasting impression on all that she met with her infectious smile and magnetic personality. She forged friendships that will never be forgotten. Before beginning fourth grade the family moved to Kremmling CO where she would graduate High school and spend the next 17 years of her life. During her school career she was involved in many, many activities which included T-Ball, Soccer, Volleyball, Cheer, Track, Basketball, and several 4-H activities. During her senior year she passed the EMT course that was a point of pride and a passion that would shape her future. The friendships that she formed were a source of support and love that will endure forever.
She attended CWC in Wyoming where she received her CNA certificate while attending the nursing program. It was in these years where her relationship with her sister Megan transformed from Big Sister/Little Sister Bickering to the Best of Friends and the closest of Confidants. She continued to build friendships that would endure to this day.
Theresa worked as a CNA in several states and loved all of the residents she was able to help and the people that she worked with. Her job at the Moose Cafe began when she was 15 as a dishwasher with her older sisters Anita, Amy, and Megan and worked her way up to join them as a waitress to harass the locals. She branched out and also worked as a waitress at the Grand Ole West. She worked for Fed-ex before beginning her career as Office Coordinator for Black Diamond Construction. As the Office Bully she earned herself a Bonus Dad, whom we affectionately called “Father Pat”. She continued to pick up shifts at the hospital, always willing to lend a hand and heart to any situation that called for it.
Her love for mechanics emerged while she was still in high school and took on the task of resurrecting the ‘Phantom’, a 2002 Chevy Cavalier. From then on her drive and determination would see her replacing a turbo in her VW bug with the help of YouTube and copious advice from cousin Jeff. She ‘enjoyed’ working on various projects to keep ‘The Buckskin’, her ford ranger, on the road.
In her free time she enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, paddleboarding, loving on her fur babies (Charlie and Banx), and spending as much time with family as she could. Her hobby of designing and etching cups for anyone who requested or as a gift was a source of great pride for her.
Theresa (Aunt Tink, Angry Blonde Girl, Trish, Double Bubble) was a loyal, energetic, sassy, confident, fierce, loving person. She was always looking for the best in everyone that she met and was down for any adventure. There are a million stories that tell the life of this beautiful, crazy, wonderful, big-hearted lady that lit up every room that she walked into and that holds a place in the heart of everyone she met. Tell these stories please, put her love of life out into the world for everyone to know.
Theresa is survived by her father(Matthew) and mother(Nancy), brothers Paul(Lindsey), Keith(Rosalie), Thomas, and Carlos. sister Katie(Casey), Rachel(Bob), Amy(Bobby), Anita(Trevor), Angie(Kyle), Megan(Ty). A collection of 18 nieces and nephews, affectionately known by Theresa as “The Crotch Goblins” and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She was preceded into death by her brother Zachary, Grannie Annie, Grandpa Derl, Grandma Waunita and Grandpa Ed, beloved aunt Patsy, uncle Simon, godparents Peggy and Ambrose Phalen.
A special mention and a heartfelt thanks to Theresa’s Bonus Dad, Pat, her Brown Skinned Sister, and the scores of people that have donated time and treasure. Thank you all from the bottom of our broken hearts.
