Richard Patrick Detty

Rich was born to Fred and Ann Detty, Fred's third son, and Ann's only child. He had 2 older brothers, Michael and Dennis Detty. Rich went to Catholic schools through to college.

He had a strong work ethic, and held his family and friends in the highest regard. He was a particularly honorable man, with a level of integrity very few will ever attain, or even see. He was humble and kind, accepting many walks of life. He found great joy in helping others when he could.

He was a proud Dad and Step-Dad to Zachary John, Sea Wilde and Kyle Detty. When he found recovery, a new level of friends and community were his to enjoy. His list of friends is long, and he was respected by many. He found his forever-love in Maria John-Detty, and together they faced a future of love and dedication to each other.

Rich was taken from this life far sooner than anyone could have imagined. His motto of "keep it simple, make it fun" was evident, as he was always either working on something, or planning on what he would be working on next. Rich, I hope you're finally out there fishing, and taking it easy. Your thoughtfulness, caring and love will be so greatly missed.
