Obituary of Mary Stengel
Mary Margaret "Peg" Stengel, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 4, 2013 at Kremmling Memorial Hospital, Kremmling, Colorado. She was born on May 22, 1933 in Denver, Colorado to Harry and Tressa Lee.
She worked hard all of her life as a homemaker - cooking, cleaning, gardening, canning, and sewing for her children. She enjoyed Women's Bible Studies, camping, boating, snowshoeing, and hiking. She and her husband looked forward to annual road trips in their motorhome, when they would visit National Parks and she especially loved seeing the land of her ancestors - Amish Country. They traveled all over the U.S and visited every state except Hawaii over the years. She also enjoyed playing card games with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Louis Richard "Dick" Stengel and five children, Peggy (Greg) Barnett of Mohave Valley, Arizona; Judy (Norm) Marsh of Johnstown, Colorado; Donald (Vickie) Stengel of Dacono, Colorado; Marlene Stengel of Anchorage, Alaska; and Lori (Randy) Page of Longmont, Colorado as well as two sisters, Dorothy Mohn of Phoenix, Arizona and Jean Dinnebeck of Lafayette, Colorado; brother, Don Lee of Charlestown, West Virginia; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Morton; and brother, Robert "Bob" Lee.
