Eric J. Anderson, 58, passed away on August 10, 2024, at home in Grand Lake, CO. He was born on February 18, 1966, in Aurora, IL.
Eric graduated from West Aurora High School in 1984. After working as an electronics technician, he decided he wanted to enter the electrical trade. He entered the IBEW Apprenticeship program achieving the status of Journeyman Electrician. After moving to Colorado he became a Master Electrician and most recently was the Electrical Foreman at Winter Park Ski Area. He was an accomplished musician, playing bass guitar in the Chicago area band Stormer and later in the band Feeltrip. Eric was also a music fan who enjoyed going to concerts in the Chicagoland area. Eric was passionate about the outdoors. After vacationing in Grand County for years, he and his wife, Lisa moved to Fraser in 1998. In 1999 they purchased a home near Lake Granby where he enjoyed snowmobiling, wakeboarding and wake surfing. Eric also belonged to the Crooked Creek Trap Club.
Eric is survived by his wife, Lisa; his mother, Catherine; his sister, Caren Arrocena (Chris); his brother, Chris and his beloved dog, Vern. He was preceded in death by his father, John. In remembrance of his love for animals, contributions can be made to Grand County Pet Pals in Eric's memory.
